Project Overview
Ashington Hill was appointed to provide feasibility, development consultancy and strategic cost planning services for the proposed redevelopment and enhancement of a museum facility on the Isle of Wight.
The project sought to improve visitor facilities, enhance accessibility, increase operational flexibility and support the long term sustainability of the museum while preserving its cultural and historical significance.
Working closely with the client team during the early stages of project development, Ashington Hill provided independent commercial advice to assess project viability, establish realistic budget expectations and support future funding and investment decisions.
The Challenge
The client was considering a range of development and refurbishment opportunities aimed at improving the visitor experience and futureproofing the facility.
Key project considerations included:
- Enhancement of visitor facilities
- Accessibility improvements
- Refurbishment and adaptation of existing spaces
- Potential heritage and conservation considerations
